SASR COMMISSION 50TH FIGURINE

The Australian Special Forces community commissioned Naked Army to produce a commemorative figurine for SAS Regiment’s 50th Anniversary in 2007.

As a purely ‘internal job’ this product saw the light of day in August 2007 and is only available through the client’s internal channels. The figurine depicts an SAS Operator during the Vietnam Conflict and broke new ground for us in a few strategic and tactical directions; the project was also our first licensed project created in close collaboration with a client.

The project involved our first attempt sculpting camouflage onto a uniform, in this case the US-issue ERDL shirt and pants favoured by SASR teams. Our portayal is armed with a modified L1A1 rifle, personally customized webbing equipment, long range patrol load, cut-off nomex gloves and
US-made ‘J’ boots.

The figurine is packaged in an SASR branded box featuring the SASR winged dagger emblem and period photography of SASR members on patrol.

Please note the SASR50 figurine is not sold through our normal retail channels - please check with SASSPORT, W.A. for availability.
