ABOUT NAKED ARMY COMMISSIONED WORK

Naked Army’s mandate is to create museum-quality niche-market products; we can also create custom products for Defence and corporate clients.
Usually these fall into two categories:

CUSTOM SCULPTURES: Working from a client brief, Naked Army can create a sculpture from scratch that is distinctive, technically and historically accurate, proprietary, and that will have the weight and feel of a museum quality product.
Serial numbers, a unit badge and distinctive packaging can also add value and to the item as a presentation or collectable display piece. The process is a very ‘collaborative’ one; we encourage client involvement in our projects.

REPRODUCTIONS: We are also geared to create reproductions of a unit’s or client’s existing ‘old favourite’  trophy or sculpture. We can reproduce in any hot or cold cast metal, and create custom presentation packaging to suit the client’s needs.

Naked Army is an official DEFENCE supplier.

ROYAL MILTARY COLLEGE STAFF CADET COMMISSIONED

The Royal Military College of Australia (RMC) recently commissioned Naked Army to execute a cold-cast bronze figurine representing a Staff Cadet ready for a graduation parade at Duntroon, Canberra.

The College adopted the ceremonial uniform portrayed in 1959 as the dress for summer graduation parades.  The sword shown is modeled on the King George VI Infantry Sword as used by the College. Each figurine is serial numbered, and the figurine is packaged in a 4-colour presentation box.

The figurine has been commissioned for the centenary of the College in 2011.
"Staff Cadet 001" is displayed in the College Museum at Duntroon.
(NOTE: RMC sculpture is only available from RMC, Duntroon, Canberra.)

RAE SILVER SAPPER

Naked Army recently completed a commission a bit different to our usual style – the recreation of a favourite Royal Australian Engineers sculpture, known as the Silver Sapper. The Naked Army-produced sapper is an exact replica cast in solid pewter and standing 20cm tall, the sculpt represents a WW2 sapper in jungle greens and slouch hat, holding one tool of his trade, a jackhammer.

Silver Sapper was commissioned by the RAE School of Engineers, Moorebank, NSW. (Interested parties should approach the school directly).

SASR 50 ANNIVERSARY COLD CAST BRONZE

To mark the Australian Special Air Service Regiment’s 50th anniversary, Naked Army was commissioned to complete a 12” sculpture representing an SASR operator on patrol during the Vietnam conflict.

The impression shows a trooper in patrol order with modified L1A1 rifle, US ERDL camouflage fatigues, US ‘J’ boots, and a mixture of British pattern ‘44 and US M56 webbing and gear. His fatigues are etched with the ERDL camouflage pattern, and the sculpture’s base features bamboo foliage and the SASR Winged Dagger badge.
